On April 1, 2019 Yuba County began collecting an additional 1% sales tax on purchases in its unincorporated areas (outside of cities). The tax was estimated to bring in an additional $4.3 million annually for public safety (92%) and essential services (8%). The revenue was to be placed in a special fund and an oversight committee created to insure the public that the revenues would go as promised.

Most Americans are peace-loving law-abiding citizens that work hard, mind their own business and love this country. However, the tyrannical government’s violation of their God-given rights during the Covid takeover will not be easily forgotten nor forgiven by these salt-of-the-earth folks.

In the last 15 months, Officer Luu coordinated a blitzkrieg against the common cold (Covid) literally destroying the community to stop a mouse.

The liberals’ approach to the homeless (addicted, mentally ill, and dysfunctional poor) is to abandon them, warehouse them and fund their addiction. The late economist Walter Williams said if you want more of something, fund it; if you want less, tax it.

Most citizens are in the last group, with some in the middle group, and a few in the first.

While Sutter County Supervisors increased their monthly auto allowance to $400, Yuba Water Agency directors debated raising their pay by 5% versus 3%, and Marysville City Council is leaning to treat themselves to cell phones, thousands of local small businesses have been illegally forced to close and hundreds will never re-open.
