When businessman Donald Trump announced his candidacy for President and was greeted with establishment howls and mockery few knew the depth of the corruption of the deep state colluding with the media.
If not appreciated prior to his announcement Trump was at least respected for his good works including those with minorities. There are thousands of photos of politicians and ethnic leaders posing with Trump. He was generous, made things happen and they sucked-up to him.
However, Trump announcing for President was a deal-killer for charlatans and shallow people. Then, their withering attacks started. Republicans scrambled for political cover. Another conservative candidate would have begged, apologized profusely and fled for mother’s lap, conceding to Hillary.
However, Trump lit the media on fire with --“When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending the best,” he said during the announcement. “They're not sending you, they're sending people that have lots of problems and they're bringing those problems. They're bringing drugs, they're bringing crime. They're rapists and some, I assume, are good people, but I speak to border guards and they're telling us what we're getting."
“It’s about safety,” he said. “Some of the people coming here are very violent people, not all.”
The “no borders” establishment distorted the comment to say Trump called all Mexicans rapists and criminals. Media mouths declared Trump a racist. That would have toasted the typical Republican, but not Trump. He verbally jack-slapped them.
Until Trump, both parties shamefully permitted the borders to be a sieve. Criminals, sex traffickers, cartel ‘mules,’ and molesters poured through with little resistance along with others not wanting to apply legally. Liberals portrayed all border crashers as honest hard-working ‘dreamers.’
Remember the caravans from Central America organized by George Soros - funded people? While the liberal elite had walls around their homes and guards, they wanted no wall at the border, leaving lowly Americans vulnerable.
Against hysterical resistance from both parties’ officials Trump began to strengthen the border patrol, build the wall and expedite the removal of those caught coming into the U.S. It has helped.
Recently, an ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) operation to target domestic violence (DV) offenders netted more than 2,000 arrests of illegals. The vast majority, nearly 85%, either had criminal convictions or pending charges. The remaining 15% were fugitives in this country illegally.
With DV on the uptick in America due to Covid-19 home quarantines, ICE determined to prevent further abuse from known offenders. The effort then widened to those convicted or charged with other crimes involving victims (murder, sexual assault, DV, hit and run, kidnapping, and identity theft.) Henry Lucero with ICE said many of the individuals had more than one conviction or pending charge.
The more than 2,000 detained had 291 convictions and 216 pending charges for DV; 83 convictions and 64 pending charges for sexual offenses (rape, assault, indecent exposure, and failure to register as a sex offender); 136 convictions and 63 charges for family offenses (including neglect and cruelty toward a spouse or child); 71 convictions and 40 charges for sexual offense involving a minor; and 14 convictions and 12 charges pending for homicide.
In general, due to Covid-19 troubles ICE has made fewer arrests than normal so the focus was on illegals involved in criminal activity.
In fiscal 2019, ICE arrested individuals with more than 1,900 convictions and charges for homicide, 1,800 for kidnapping, 12,000 sex offenses, 5,000 sexual assaults, 45,000 assaults, 67,000 drug crimes, 10,000 weapons offenses, and 74,000 DUIs.
Trump’s objective has been to enforce immigration laws and provide an efficient way for foreign nationals to legally come here to work temporarily and/or to eventually obtain citizen status. Former immigrants that are now U.S. citizens support this approach since they followed the established means to become an American.
However, don’t look for the Trump immigration plan in the mainstream media. They just yell racist.
